CHARITY FUNDRAISER LAUNCHES NEW GLOBAL "WIN A HOUSE" PRIZE DRAW

CHARITY FUNDRAISER LAUNCHES NEW GLOBAL “WIN A HOUSE” PRIZE DRAW

The team at HomeStar Fundraising, a not-for-profit enterprise, are delighted to announce the launch of a new series of prize draws, giving lucky participants globally the chance to win a £500,000 home of their choice anywhere of their choosing. Be it a first step on the property ladder, a home upgrade, a holiday home or a retirement apartment – the winner has complete freedom in making his or her selection.

With tickets costing just £5 this prize draw provides an exciting and affordable opportunity for the winner to fulfil his or her dream of living mortgage free in a new home and having some money in the bank, too.

Whilst the organisers really want someone to win a house, there is a generous cash alternative for those who decide not to move home.

And if they don’t win the main prize? There’s no need to be downhearted – there are five runners-up prizes to be won of £10,000 each.

Unlike with the usual house raffles, by being able to choose their own prize, the winners are not faced with the dilemma of having to relocate to where their prize house is or become absentee landlords or have the hassle of selling an empty house on the other side of the Country.

And, if it comes to selling their prize, will they find they have won a pig in a poke? Why have the previous owners decided to go down the arduous and legally tortuous route of raffling their house? Couldn’t they sell it at a fair price? Apart from legal fees and taxes, what other hidden costs might come with their prize? Subsidence? Flooding? Does it need a new roof? Are there planning problems? The list could be endless….

With the Homestar prize draw it is all a lot easier and transparent. The £500,000 value of the prize includes the cost of the winner’s chosen property with legal fees, taxes and surveys all included.

Great as all this is, there is a bigger purpose. Over £1 from every ticket sold is pledged to charities and good causes. The target is to raise over £200,000 for charity through each prize draw.

As Robert Wareham, CEO of Homestar, says, “Our mission is helping to make the World a better place. The causes we sponsor are hands-on charities that focus on relieving suffering and hardship – regardless of ethnicity, religion or location”.

In the current prize draw the charities being sponsored include Oxfam, Shelter and The Salvation Army.

And for participants who do not want to support good causes a free entry route to the prize draw is available.
