Chef Damian Wawrzyniak Launches Limited Edition Royal Menu at House of Feasts
After cooking lunch for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during the Royal couple’s official joint visit to Poland and Germany last week, restaurateur and TV chef Damian Wawrzyniak will serve up a very limited edition Royal menu this weekend at House of Feasts in Peterborough.
The Royal menu means diners will be able to sample the exact dishes enjoyed by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in Gdansk. There are just 30 seats available for the exclusive Royal tasting menu.
Chef Wawrzyniak said, “Being invited to cook lunch for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in Poland was a once in a lifetime experience. I wanted to share a bit of that back home in England with a very exclusive Royal menu that will be served for one day only. The menu will be an exact replica of what I and the House of Feasts chefs, Dominik Pietrzyk and Lukasz Ciechelski served to Kate and Prince William.”
Dishes include:
- Polish smalec with slow cooked Dingley Dell pork, served with a selection of Pickles, sourdough breads and cucumber gel
- Traditional Polish pierogi stuffed with Dingley Dell pork and finished with crispy nigella seeds, burnt onion sauce and Fenland’s best pickled carrots
- Tartare of Baltic Herring, brined in house and served with compressed apple, beetroot puree & black tuile
- Ptys with Cambridgeshire fruits, filled with Chantilly crème and raspberry
Chef Wawrzyniak’s Polish lunch was served to the Royal couple on day two of their first official joint visit to Poland and Germany, undertaken at the request of The Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
The exclusive Royal Lunch at House of Feasts on 29 July, 2017 is priced at £35pp or £55 with wine pairings. The menu will be served for one day only and reservations are required.
