CORGI HomePlan’s brand response campaign challenges the market leader on service
The UK’s top rated boiler insurance cover provider, CORGI HomePlan has launched a disruptive new campaign challenging consumers to get better boiler cover for their money after research showed the market leader was consistently rated poorly by its own customers.
Although storms and snow have battered Britain in recent weeks, the winter has been milder than expected. This means that the traditionally busy period for boiler repairs hasn’t been as frantic as expected.
With milder temperatures, Britain’s boilers haven’t had to work quite as hard as they would normally, leading to fewer breakdowns and more customers blissfully unaware they could be paying over the odds this spring.
“Most people assume boiler cover is much the same no matter which provider you choose and that you can’t go wrong with the market leader,” explains Ed Naish, Marketing Director at CORGI HomePlan. “But actually, that’s far from the case – as we found on closer analysis. Our own boiler cover scores an excellent 9.1 out of 10 on Trustpilot whereas British Gas, for example, is rated just 2.1 (rating correct as of 27/03/19) by their customers.
“When you consider a typical plan with a service is around £14 per month from the market leader, that adds up to quite a chunk of the household budget per annum. We believe the nation deserves better than ‘Bad’ boiler cover and that customers deserve to know what they’re getting for their money.
