Ethical Health and Beauty Brand PureRooted Launches Debut Moringa Oil Collection, Bringing Natural Beauty Back To Its Roots

Ethical Health and Beauty Brand PureRooted Launches Debut Moringa Oil Collection, Bringing Natural Beauty Back To Its Roots

A new ethical health and beauty brand rooted in nature and social conscience and experience launches this month with a mission to bring beauty back to its own roots.

PureRooted’s debut collection champions plant-based, natural products which harness the essential oils of the Moringa tree, a tropical tree that thrives in desert landscapes and has been prized for its beautifying benefits since ancient times. The range includes two beautifully sustainable skin, hair and body treats, each made using pure, cold-pressed and unrefined moringa oil and two travel bags. Additional products will soon be added to the range.

Lightweight, non greasy and brimming with essential fatty acids, antioxidants and more than 90 natural nutrients, PureRooted’s Pure Unadulterated Moringa Seed Oil is wholly natural, with no chemical additives or additional substances. The oil drenches hair and skin in hydration, leaving it soft, silky and glowing. In addition to helping parched skin drink in moisture, it can be used to strengthen hair and encourage it to grow.

The multi-purpose oil is a hardworking beauty hero; it can be applied directly to skin, hair and cuticles and gently massed in, infused with an essential oil such as tea tree or lavender, added to a favourite clay mask as an emollient or gently rubbed into skin as a cleanser to dissolve makeup and remove impurities.  Thanks to high levels of Vitamin C and Beta Carotene, regular application of the oil can help to brighten and even out the skin tone, giving a natural glow all year round.

PureRooted has also created soft, moisturising Moringa Oil Beauty Balm which can be used as a salve for chapped lips or massaged into dry skin anywhere on the body. The silky balm melds softening shea butter with pure cold-pressed moringa oil and is lightly scented with sweetly scented rose oil.

Efua Mercer, PureRooted founder said, “We believe that the planet has always provided what is good for us but we don’t always appreciate what that may be. Each part of the Moringa tree has been used by indigenous communities for thousands of years and there is even evidence that it was used by the ancient Egyptians as a moisturizer!

“The fact that it’s so sustainable makes it a win-win for beauty fans and is something that we’re really passionate about. It thrives in areas prone to desertification so encouraging its growth can help combat the damage of climate change.”

Moringa oil has been a staple of the ancient Indian healing system, Ayurveda for centuries and is used throughout the world as a beauty essential. The cold pressed oil is particularly high in essential fatty acids, making it a superior moisturiser but as it’s entirely natural, it won’t irritate those with delicate or sensitive skin.  To preserve the power of the plant, PureRooted products only use moringa grown without pesticides, and oil that is cold pressed with no additives, is pure, vegan and not tested on animals.

PureRooted products are suitable for all skin and hair types and will be showcased at Stylist Live, 9 -11 November on stand J13.
