Globe-trotting photographer showcases the majesty of nature at special opening night of new Tyne and Wear gallery

Award winning professional photographer and jet-setting traveller Jason Friend is holding a special opening night at his new Whitley Bay gallery designed to lay bare the beauty of Earth’s landscapes on November 8.

Photography enthusiasts and nature lovers alike will get the chance to visit the new gallery, Jason Friend Photography Gallery, and admire the magnificent array of landscape, travel and stone circle pictures. Jason is also offering training and tuition at the gallery for prospective students looking to master the art of photography for themselves.

Jason Friend, Jason Friend Photography Company Director, said: “I’m delighted to announce the opening of our new gallery in Whitley Bay and can’t wait to hold our pre-Christmas opening night.

“To me, there really is nothing more awe-inspiring than the world which we live in, and that’s exactly what I try to capture in my work. My photos showcase the beauty of the world we live in and its vast collection of different landscapes.”

Jason has travelled all over the world building his stunning portfolio of landscape photography, and his expeditions have seen him venture into the rugged outback of Australia, scale the mountains of Switzerland and brave the wilderness of New Zealand.

Completing work for the likes of National Geographic, British Airways and Microsoft, Jason’s record of big-name clients stand testament to the quality of the art he’s produced over an illustrious career spanning decades.

In addition to holding a pre-Christmas opening night and offering training and tuition through his gallery, Jason is also opening an online store for art-lovers to browse at their leisure.

Jason added: “With the time of year being what it is people are naturally very busy, so I’ve opened an online store for people to view my work on if they don’t get the chance to visit us in person.”

The key factor that drives Jason’s art is light. Inspired by the beauty of how illumination can reveal the magnificence of nature early on in his career, his photography reflects the profound relationship between light and nature, and how the two combine to form the unrivalled beauty of Earth’s landscapes.
