Midland Bearings Expands Team with Multiple New Appointments

Midland Bearings, a West Midlands bearings specialist, has confirmed multiple new appointments as it expands operations and steps up support for international clients.

Sales professional Jon Hartshorn is the first new appointment, and joins the company from Manning Machine Tools Ltd, having previously worked at Godiva Bearings. A bearings expert, Jon will be on hand to offer expert advice and support garnered from over two decades in the industry. His arrival will further boost the 12-man team which has been assisting customers from across Europe for many years.

Another welcome new addition is James Peach, a former Ryan Air and Emirates commercial pilot who will take the helm dealing with the arduous and often time-consuming post-Brexit customs regulations. He will be tasked with ensuring that shipments depart the Kingswinford warehouse and arrive at international locations as quickly and smoothly as possible. Since the Brexit deadline, Midland Bearings has seen a dramatic increase in export demand, making this a key appointment.

The firm boasts an in-stock catalogue of 15 million bearings and associated products principally designed for the engineering, pharmaceutical, architectural, construction material production, automotive and metal processing industries.

To help keep the operational wheels turning, the company has also engaged two new warehouse employees who will be responsible for maintaining stock levels and ensuring that consignments are organised quickly, leaving the Midland Bearings warehouse in perfect condition ready for shipping.

“As we reach an incredibly busy period for Midland Bearings, we are pleased to be welcoming new talent to our ranks and are thrilled to be able to offer roles to 32 employees across the business,” says Midland Bearings Managing Director, Phil Chesworth.
