CBeebies veteran and star Sid Sloane is set to take children on a deep sea adventure that they’ll never forget with a new theatre production. Combining mesmerising props and an enthralling story with Sid’s captivating personality and stage presence, Deep Sea Discovery will be touring UK theatres throughout 2017. The latest show aims to introduce little ones to a world of imagination in an interactive production brought to the stage by Root4Kids Theatre.
This fantastic family production follows the success of Sid’s Show and is a perfect treat or wonderful introduction to theatre for children aged three upwards. Described as action-packed and interactive by Primary Times, audiences are encouraged to be part of the enchanting experience throughout. Kids get involved by helping a beautiful mermaid find her missing pearls, making friends with a terrifying shark, and even hunting for lost treasure. With catchy new songs, music, and educational interaction, it will captivate the audience from beginning to end.
Sid said, “My mum is a great story-teller, it’s a Caribbean trait. In truth, we are all tellers of tales and it brings me great joy to create an imaginary world for children and see them become captivated by their own ideas. I also thrive on performing live, so building on that connection in the show and watching their faces as they dive into the waters of the deep sea with me is great reward for what I do. Deep Sea Discovery will take kids on a wild adventure filled with laughter, fun, and learning, and offers plenty of opportunity for the audience to get involved.”
Sid is a veteran of the children’s entertainment industry with more than 15 years of experience putting smiles on kids’ faces. He won a legion of fans in children and parents alike with his performances on CBeebies, including the ever-popular Let’s Play show. In 2013, Sid set up Root4Kids Theatre, taking his captivating performance style on to stages across the UK directly to imaginative and fun-loving audiences. Sid’s Deep Sea Discovery show has already been seen by some lucky audiences, receiving rave reviews as an enormously enjoyable experience.
The next Deep Sea Discovery performance is set to be held at Stantonbury Arts in Milton Keynes on 9 April, before moving on to venues in Derby, Radlett, and Yeovil.
