Nigeria’s Leading Fashion Brand to Showcase Collection at London Represents During Fashion Week

David Eweje, the founder and designer behind Nigeria’s leading lifestyle brand, David Wej, will make his London Fashion Week debut at London Represents, the sustainable and inclusive fashion show which will run alongside the main LFW events.

The brand, which was established in Lagos, Nigeria in 2008 has become well-known in the industry for its polished designs and nod to traditional Nigerian styles. Since its humble beginnings, David Wej has transformed into an award-winning, international premium lifestyle brand with a comprehensive wardrobe of garments including jacquard suits, classic shirts, and matching accessories.

Never one to forget about its heritage, David Wej designs are inspired by customary Nigerian dress. A signature African touch is included in every collection. The brand will showcase three styles on the London Represents catwalk: traditional Nigerian, occasion wear, and smart casual.

David Eweje, Creative Director of David Wej, says “London Fashion Week is such an iconic date in the fashion calendar, so it’s an understatement to say I’m excited to display my collection during the week. Since opening our Great Portland Street location, I’ve been passionate about sharing my designs with Londoners, and London Represents is the perfect platform to continue this work. I can’t wait for everyone to see the designs and witness for themselves what makes David Wej such an iconic brand.”

The new collection plays with traditional dress and brings it up to date with careful tailoring, contemporary accessories, and trendy styling.

David Wej garments can be purchased online at Wolf and Badger, or in the John Lewis pop-up which will celebrate Black History Month in October. To find out more about David Wej, visit: https://davidwej.com
