Peterborough Festival of Antiques to host the largest antiques show in The UK at the East of England Showground

Held twice a year, the Peterborough Festival of Antiques is returning to the East of England Showground this September for a two-day event that will showcase exhibitors and antiques dealers from around the globe.

Now in its nineteenth year, the Festival of Antiques has grown considerably since its inception and is now reputedly the largest Antique fair in the UK. This now includes over 2000 stands spread over its indoor areas, plus the antiques village marquee area and the further ample outdoor event spaces.

There are 5 different areas indoor and 4 outdoor areas – accounting for all sizes of items and price points.

Featuring a mix of individual exhibitors and antiques dealers arriving from all over the country, the continent and even from as far afield as the USA, Japan and Australia, the Peterborough Festival of Antiques has gained considerable acclaim with specialists and those with an interest in all things antique and collectable

Visitors to the two-day event can browse stalls containing jewellery, china, stamps, militaria, linen and toys in the Main Arena whereas the Nat West Buildings offers the space required to display larger pieces such as furniture and equestrian items.

For those with an eye for rare and highly prized items, the Cambridge Suite is well worth a visit before heading to the purpose-built exhibition hall to peruse a plethora of jewellery and higher value works of art.

Surrounding these buildings, visitors will be able to stroll through the outdoor displays where they’ll discover a variety outdoor pitches and large trade marquees containing items from all over Europe, including items from architectural furniture to antique farm implements.

With free parking and a range of refreshments available as well as cash pints and shippers, the Peterborough Antiques Festival is sure to be a great day out and runs from Friday 28th September to Saturday 29th September.

Tickets cost from as little as £5 for adults on Saturday and children under 16 can enter the event free of charge.  Early admission passes are available from 7 am Friday morning for £15.00 from 7 am for those intent on beating the crowds and taking home a must-have piece to adorn their homes. The admission price then drops to £7.50 from 10 am on Friday.
