Precision engineered and designed with a healthy dose of sass for ladies with plus-cup breasts, the brand new bikini collection from Offshore Swimwear  brings colourful island living, contemporary prints and youthful cuts to GG-J cup customers – all with a structure purposefully designed to support, sculpt, contour and lift with no compromise on couture design credentials.

The boutique brand draws inspiration from the tropics and founder Alex Gibson’s Filipina, English and black Bermudian heritage. The result is a beautifully functional, fashion-forward swimwear collection comprising of four vibrant tops and bottoms in floral motifs, rainbow brights and jungle prints.

Each investment piece is made from high quality fabrics and components sourced from European manufacturers who are market leaders in innovation and print design. High strength, anti-corrosion, galvanised carbon steel underwires support heavier busts, while fully lined cups feature an internal sling to shape and support breasts.

The patented underwire casing is resistant to puncture, the hardware comprises of heat resistant Zamak metal and there is a high elastane content for strength and recovery which means each piece will continue to look its best, whether the wearer is paddle boarding in Trinidad and Tobago, sun-worshipping in Varadero or snorkelling in St. Lucia.

“As a girl whose cup size has ranged from FF-HH, like others my size I am often made to feel like an inconvenience. Mainstream brands reserve their most matronly designs for us and when we are lucky enough to find something that fits, it is rarely built to last!”, says Offshore Swimwear founder, Alex Gibson.

“Few brands understand that plus-cup swimwear is a feat of engineering; aesthetics are important but the internal structure has to be robust and durable enough to contain heavy breasts. As someone with a larger cup size who spends half the year in the Caribbean, I know this all too well.”

Designed with the structural support of lingerie, Offshore Swimwear is both fashionable and functional. Designs can be worn from beach to bar and are versatile enough to stand up to a workout session. Each piece is created in collaboration with a technical designer who has over 30 years experience working with plus-cup household name brands.

Recognising that plus cup size curves have been sidelined for long enough, Offshore Swimwear aims to increase customer participation in the design process and actively encourages feedback. The first design to incorporate customer suggestions is currently in the early production phase.
