UK Beauty Experts Launch New Products; Bring Salon Treatments to the Home

A leading Cheltenham-based skincare expert offering effortless, elegant beauty is expanding its range of products to bring salon-quality treatments to the home during the pandemic. Nanshy, which is known for its exquisite selection of makeup brushes, makeup bags, sponges, and brush care items is launching a brand new line of skincare tools to make it easier than ever for both men and women to look after their skin during the COVID crisis – no salon visit required.

Unlike makeup which masks imperfections and highlights key features of the face, Nanshy’s new skincare tools address underlying problems to create smooth, healthy, and radiant-looking skin while maximising the impact of day-to-day self-care routines. The new line is being launched with two introductory products that can produce professional, salon-quality results without needles or chemicals.

The first product launched under the new skincare tools line is the Nanshy-branded face roller; a naturally cool metal device that is rolled across the skin to strengthen underlying tissue and muscles, working to sculpt the cheekbones, jawline, and brows. The face roller also promotes oxygen distribution to brighten the skin, and stimulates drainage to minimise puffiness.

The second exciting new product is the Nanshy-branded gua sha; a ‘beauty genie’ inspired by ancient Chinese massage therapy tools. Helping to relieve tension in the face, improve blood circulation, and promote drainage, the gua sha can soften fine lines and wrinkles to minimise early signs of ageing.

Nanshy Managing Director Paula Pokora said, “Over the past year, we’ve been told to stay at home as much as possible. Now, as the country begins to reopen, many of us are finding that we’ve lost a bit of our confidence when it comes to getting out there and socialising with friends and family. At Nanshy, our focus has always been on boosting confidence and helping both men and women to feel good about themselves, and right now, we need this more than ever. That’s why we feel now is the perfect time to expand our product range with a new line of skincare tools that are easy to use at home.”

The expansion of the Nanshy range comes at a time when demand for at-home skincare is growing at a rapid pace. This growth has been taking place since the beginning of the pandemic, driven by two distinct triggers.

Firstly, demand is rising as a direct result of salon closures. Unable to book routine skincare appointments – and with an uncertainty of how long salons will be permitted to remain open under the UK’s ongoing lockdown system – it’s been reported that one in five Brits are spending more time on their at-home skincare routines, and one in seven are using more facial treatments.

Mandatory mask-wearing is also sparking new interest in skincare. Long term mask usage is believed to be closely connected to ‘mascne’ – spots around the mouth and nose caused by contact dermatitis – and wearers are naturally seeking effective solutions to improve the appearance of the skin. Recent research shows that, during the pandemic, makeup sales have dropped by around 55%, while skincare sales have risen 300% year on year.

The new face roller and gua sha are available to purchase now direct from the Nanshy website. Alternatively, Nanshy’s skincare tools – as well as other products from the beauty expert, can be found on Amazon and Beauty Bay.
