Dakota Digital Appointed to Manage PR & Media for Premiere of Generation Iron 2
We can't wait to attend the premiere of Generation Iron 2 in association with Bodypower Expo
As the biggest consumer health and fitness expo in the world, it’s fitting that Bodypower Expo will this year host the premiere of Generation Iron 2, the follow up the the Vlad Company’s incredibly successful documentary which delves into the highs and the lows of the world of elite bodybuilding.
The original Generation Iron film released in 2013 was a cult hit. A modern day take on the 1977 movie Pumping Iron staring Arnold Schwarzenegger, which alongside his 5th Mr Olympia win helped catapult him to stardom. The new movie which is set to focus on the rise of digital fame and social media celebrity associated with the fitness industry will again star Mr Olympia underdog Kai Greene but will also add social media sensations Calumn Von Moger, Dana Linn Bailey and controversial bodybuilding icon Rich Pianna. To name just a few.
The premiere is set for private screenings in Birmingham immediately after the first day of 2017’s Bodypower Expo on Friday May 12th. Two screens have been set up for super fans lucky enough to get tickets and a 3rd screen for press, VIP’s as well as the full cast and crew of the film.
As well as co-coordinating upfront PR, Dakota Digital will be managing press & media on the day which include a pre-premiere press conference involving the elite fitness cast. Managing PR for the premiere is a superb experience for us as part our ongoing relationship with the fantastic guys and girls of Bodypower, but to be honest I’m a Dana Linn Bailey fan myself so i’m just happy to get to see the movie early!
