Award-Winning Maternity Wear Designer Announces First Investment Deal

Zip Us In, a UK-based maternity wear designer known for its award-winning jacket panels, has announced its first investment deal after securing backing from one of the country’s most prolific business advisors.

Valued at £1 million, Zip Us In has entered into a £50,000 investment deal with Mr Danny Habel, former Managing Director of the well-loved, family-run Habels furniture stores, with a presence across Winchester, Newbury, and Andover. Mr Habel is one of the most active advisors within the Winchester business community, and now owns a 5% share in Zip Us In.

The investment will help to fast track the brand’s extensive product development plans, as well as facilitate significant growth into new markets, making its unique maternity and early years products more widely accessible to expectant parents across the world.

Zip Us In is the first British firm to design and develop innovative jacket expander zip panels exclusively within the UK. They are designed to make pregnancy and baby wearing more comfortable for parents. The product allows for existing outerwear to be temporarily modified to accommodate changing bodies during pregnancy, as well as front-worn baby carriers following birth.
