Best selling electric pallet truck gets a heavy-duty upgrade to help cope with retail demand

Midland Pallet Trucks, a provider of high-quality materials handling equipment including pallet trucks, manual stacker trucks and lift tables, has welcomed a revamped version of its best selling electric pallet truck to its ranks to help support warehousing staff faced with soaring demand.

As the popularity of online shopping and the pressures of Brexit placing increasing strain on an already booming warehousing and logistics sector, employers are finding themselves with more and more consignments to deal with each day with productivity targets a key concern for many retailers and logistics hubs.

The new MID-EPT18 Heavy Duty Fully Electric Pallet Truck from Midland Pallet Trucks features a robust and hardwearing chassis with corrosive resistant yellow paint for longevity whilst making it easy to spot on any warehouse floor.

The new model also features a larger 0.85kw brushless motor which increases the load capacity to an impressive 1800kg for heavier duty users with large consignments. To make the unit virtually maintenance-free, the motor is completely brushless and is twinned with an efficient lithium battery to provide maximum running time between charges.

There is also the option to add an extra battery which can be changed in seconds, resulting in minimal downtime for the user.

The MID-EPT18 Heavy Duty Fully Electric Pallet Truck also features a multi-function handle for forward and reverse, lifting and lowering, an LCD display plus a horn and emergency stock button for additional safety and can be delivered UK wide or collected from the Midland Pallet Truck warehouse in Kingswinford.

“Rated at 1800kg capacity and a slope/climbing gradeability of 6% laden, 20% unladen—this is a powerful machine with average life 3 times greater than a manual pallet truck. Despite this, it’s a compact unit, only 32mm longer than a standard pallet truck,” said Phil Chesworth, Managing Director of Midland Pallet Trucks.
