British workwear manufacturer Wearwell donates scrubs to Marie Cure hospice in West Midlands

British PPE manufacturer, Wearwell has continued its efforts to support frontline workers by donating full sets of scrubs to the Marie Curie hospice in the West Midlands.

Centre staff reached out to Wearwell leading the Tamworth firm to offer a donation of full sets of scrubs in a range of sizes. As the nation’s oldest workwear manufacturer, Wearwell has been making PPE for the healthcare sector for decades – it recently dispatched over 30,000 sets to NHS hospital workers after setting up new production lines in the factory to aid in coronavirus relief efforts.

Richard Wright, Wearwell CEO said, “Marie Curie hospices do wonderful work around the country supporting and caring for those with terminal illness. The Solihull centre’s volunteer development officer got in touch with us a few days ago and after learning of their need, we were only too happy to step in and donate the required scrubs.”

The scrubs are currently being manufactured and will be delivered to the centre early this week.
