Buddha Pants Launches Custom Designed Washable Cotton Face Masks

Miami-based fashion label, Buddha Pants is taking safety to stylish new heights this week with the launch of custom designed cloth face masks. The beautiful 100% cotton cloth masks are washable and reusable. Each mask is made from three layers of cloth to keep wearers safe from virus particles, dust, pollution and other irritants.

The launch comes as the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) changed its stance to recommend the use of cloth face masks when in public to help stop the spread of the novel coronavirus across the United States. Recognizing that many of those infected with coronavirus show no symptoms, the official guidance now states that US citizens should use a cloth mask to cover their face when in a public setting such as a grocery store to reduce community transmission.

Buddha Pants’ mask collection is being sold at cost price with all proceeds going to factory workers and fabric suppliers. A number of masks have also been earmarked for donation to those in need and free shipping is available for larger orders.

There are six designs to choose from, each with 100% cotton cloth triple protection. Options include all black, a modern floral-inspired pink or green kira, sage green dandelion, a tribal-inspired pattern in black and beige and a stylish geometric polka dot in shades of blue and white.

The masks attach snugly to the face as per CDC recommendations and are held in place by comfortable, stretchy black elastic which won’t pinch the skin around the ear. All masks feel soft to the touch when worn and come complete with their own satchel bag for storage, helping to keep the material safe and clean when not in use.
