Crown Banqueting Suite in Ilford has announced a new community initiative that will see the venue offer one free hire per year to a local charity or community organisation. The scheme reflects the venue’s strong belief that spaces for gathering should not only host celebrations but also serve the wider community.

The premier event hall, known for hosting everything from cultural weddings to international embassy functions, will make its facilities available without charge to support fundraising events, awareness campaigns, or community-focused activities.

With space for up to 300 guests, halal catering options, dry hire flexibility, and a late licence, the venue will provide charities with the same professional service and facilities enjoyed by private clients.

For Crown Banqueting Suite’s Director, Fareed Nabir, the initiative is deeply personal. Beyond his role at the venue, Nabir is also the founder of the Nabir Foundation, which is currently overseeing the construction of an orphanage for women and girls in Sylhet, Bangladesh.

Raised in the United Kingdom by a single mother, he says that his personal journey has instilled in him a commitment to giving back both locally and internationally.
