Custom British Kit Supplier Opens New Headquarters in Wyoming for Stateside Launch

The custom British sports kit supplier, Rival Kit which specializes in rowing apparel, has made a substantial investment in Wyoming with the launch of a new American business, warehouse and brand.

Rival Kit USA will bring the British business’ custom sports kit ethos to America and is already making its mark on U.S. shores as the kit partner for the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta.

Held annually since 1965, Head of the Charles is the largest and most prestigious three-day regatta in the world and attracts more than 11,000 rowers to Boston’s Charles River each year. This year’s competitors will duke it out in dozens of races between Friday, 21 October and Sunday, 23 October, with the Rival Kit USA team on hand throughout.

Rival Kit USA has designed and provided custom unisuits and tech tees for Rowing in Colour. The podcast team will field two 8+’s at this year’s Head of the Charles Regatta event as part of its mission to raise awareness of voices of colour in rowing.

The hundreds of thousands of spectators cheering on from the banks will also be able to visit Rival Kit USA’s pop-up shop at the event and shop a wide range of the brand’s own technical garments. Visitors can expect to find club kit from the likes of Oxford and Cambridge University’s legendary rowing teams.

Quickly winning over rowing clubs on both sides of the Atlantic, Rival Kit USA has already been chosen by Yale and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as kit supplier of choice.

Jim Morrison, President of Rival Kit LLC said, “After five years in the UK, we are thrilled to be launching in the United States at the Head of the Charles Regatta. We’re delighted to have established a U.S. base of operations including an office and warehouse in Wyoming to better serve our American customers and can’t wait to meet everyone at the Regatta. It’s a fitting beginning to Rival Kit USA’s trans-Atlantic story.”
