Dream job alert: get paid to review cruise holidays
Cruise fans who fancy themselves as the next Jane McDonald could trade in their 9-5 and bag their dream job as a cruise reviewer thanks to an exciting new job opening.
The dream job opportunity is with HelloCruise, one of the UK’s favourite cruise deals websites which brings together the top deals from a range of travel agents in one convenient location. It’s on the hunt for three cruise reviewer positions, with the chosen few set to be paid to try out a range of exciting cruise ships and itineraries.
Successful applicants will be required to spend their days testing out luxury cabins, sampling the onboard cuisine, relaxing in hot tubs, enjoying evening entertainment, participating in events and activities, and taking tours around beautiful destinations all around the globe. Not to mention staying in opulent hotels and being amongst the first guests to sail on brand new vessels such as Norwegian Viva.
Not only will HelloCruise’s new reviewers not have to pay a penny to enjoy sensational cruise holidays, they’ll also be paid for the privilege! The cost of each cruise or package will be covered in full by the company, with a per-assignment salary paid following submission of reviews and photographs.
Peter Hodge of HelloCruise said, “We are known amongst the cruising community as the most comprehensive, supportive, and honest resource for researching a cruise package with confidence. As part of our ongoing commitment to helping our customers find the best deals, we’re very proud to be taking another step towards creating the ultimate ‘one stop shop’ by launching a new, exclusive library of first hand, unbiased reviews direct from our very own hand-selected team of top cruise reviewers.”
While the idea of spending days and weeks gazing out at never ending ocean views sounds like a dream come true, applicants should keep in mind that it’s not all easy sailing! HelloCruise’s reviewers will be required to submit a detailed 750-word report following disembarkation covering useful information such as dining, accommodation, entertainment and the service onboard.
So just who is the ideal candidate? “We’re looking for someone that’s not only available to join several ships per year, but who actively shares our passion for transforming the cruise industry,” added Hodge. “We’re searching for travellers who are open minded, willing to see things from different perspectives, excited to try new things, and most importantly, who are keen to educate, support, and inspire others through their stories and experiences”.
Applications for the three part-time cruise reviewer roles can be submitted until 30 April. Successful candidates will be paid up to £1000 per cruise, with the cost of any base cruise holiday or travel package covered by HelloCruise.
