FRESH AIR FITNESS GEARING UP FOR SPRING WITH NEW BIG RIG INSTALLATIONS

The outdoor gym specialists Fresh Air Fitness are helping councils and public spaces around the country get ready for spring with the installation of a number of Big Rigs – the firm’s multi-purpose, functional training centrepiece and the latest addition to a world-class product range.

Following years of painstaking design work, the Big Rig offers multiple body-weight training options with 15 unique workstations. With each station set around the perimeter of the rig, there are options for strength, stretch and tone exercises suitable for newcomers to fitness and with a pull up bars, sit up benches, ninja rings and a horizontal ladder, it also offers more advanced gym goers a challenging workout.

Despite being the latest addition to the outdoor gym range, the Big Rig has already been snapped up by two councils; Kidlington Parish Council & Datchet Parish Council.

Tom Willock, Fresh Air Fitness Managing Director said, “The response to our Big Rig has been phenomenal so far – we spent years perfecting the design and are delighted that it has been well received on launch. It is undoubtedly a best in class piece of equipment perfect for all abilities, from beginner to advanced athlete and can be used to warm up and warm down.

“It’s been designed to be highly functional to offer the best use of space, while also having plenty of different options to keep a workout interesting. Feedback so far from both councils has been great and we’re looking forward to installing more Big Rigs around the country this spring.”

The clever layout combines seven fixed workout stations plus multiple pull up bars. TRX ropes, battle ropes and punch bags can also be attached to suit the needs of users. Despite its impressive capability, the Big Rig is also practical – it can be installed on grass or with surfacing and can sit alongside other Fresh Air Fitness outdoor gym equipment including elliptical cross trainers, bikes and rowers. Some packages also come with circuit training signs.

With an 90m² footprint, it’s the perfect solution for communities, sports teams and clubs who want to work out together irrespective of fitness levels.
