Global community 4Retirees Announces Week-Long Savvy Senior Masterclass

Pioneering online community 4Retirees will launch a week-long Savvy Seniors Masterclass later this month with a very special Savvy Seniors Live event at the end of the week, hosted by two special guests. The Masterclass is the result of extensive community research and collaboration, ensuring each session responds to the real needs of retired people and addresses the difficulties they face when learning new topics.

Writing and Blogging In Retirement: Get Started, Start Earning, and Be Inspired will help retirees from around the world to understand the opportunities available for retiring writers and storytellers in the digital age. Attendees will receive one-to-one training from experts in the field and learn how to start their first blog, discover ways to monetize their online presence, and meet real-life retiree writers who are writing and blogging successfully.

The latest in a regular schedule of free events designed to help retirees from around the world develop new skills, discover new hobbies, keep active and unlock opportunities to earn money from home, Writing and Blogging In Retirement: Get Started, Start Earning, and Be Inspired will take place across three sessions. It has been tailor made to fit real-world applications for the current skills sets, strengths, and challenges faced by retirees today with a keen interest in writing.

Part one on 17 November will guide seniors through the process of starting their first blog in retirement. The one-hour session will delve into topics such as

why retirees should start blogging, the importance of writing skills in general and crucially, how to create a  blog and tips for blog content.

Part two on 18 November will focus on making money as a blogger. Essentials such as promotion strategies, reaching a wider audience, the fundamentals of SEO and how to turn clicks into cash will all be covered.

The third session in the series on 19 November will be a special Savvy Seniors Live event, where participants will be joined by author Richard Haiduck and blogger-influencer, Helene K. Liatsos. The successful duo will share their secrets to success and the motivation behind pursing a second career in writing in retirement.  Masterclass attendees will have the chance to ask questions and engage with the guest speakers. The first four attendees to register for the Masterclass will be given a free 15-minute retirement consultation with Helene. All attendees will receive a free preview of Richard’s book.

Richard Haiduck, author and blogger said, “66 years after the 7-year-old me dreamed of writing a book, it finally happened. One of my biggest lessons when writing this book was the concept of finding joy in tasks which give us a sense of pride and accomplishment without pressure. A book or a blog may be one of these activities that retirees can find joy in doing—and it’s a plus if they can earn from that, as well. I’m delighted to share my experiences with the 4Retirees community.”

Magdalena Kusyk, Founder of 4Retirees said, “The Savvy Seniors Masterclass was created to help retirees from all over the world to be inspired and turn their retirement into something exciting and fulfilling. The concept of retirement has changed drastically in the last years, and more and more retirees are becoming trailblazers and innovators in their own fields. We had such a high demand after running a writing class a few months ago that we had to bring it back!”

Helene K. Liatsos, retirement lifestyle influencer said, “I created a blog to document my journey into retirement and the emotions surrounding the process. By journalizing our daily tasks of downsizing, our decisions of what comes next, the sentiments of letting go of what is known and exploring the unknown future, it is hoped that other retirees or soon-to-be retirees will connect with us, grow with us, and confirm with us, that yes, the goal is to retire well. I can’t wait to share what I’ve learnt with the 4Retirees community.”
