Grozeo Unveils Groundbreaking Retail Technology for Small Businesses at Grand House of Lords Ceremony

Grozeo, a trailblazing Saas technology company which connects small businesses with customers online and in-store thanks via a free eCommerce system, has marked its official launch at a grand ceremony held at the House of Lords, hosted by Baroness Angela Bray of Coln St Aldwyns.

The event, attended by royalty, nobility, and industry leaders, was co-hosted by Rebeca Riofrio, Chairwoman of the Parliamentary Society for Arts, Fashion, and Sports, and Olga Balakleets, Founder and CEO of Creative Women Platform. HRH Princess Katarina presided over a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

The ceremony marked the beginning of Grozeo’s mission to redefine the retail industry by making advanced technology accessible to businesses of all sizes across the UK. While stores across the UK are facing a retail crisis with footfall still below pre-pandemic levels, online sales continue to rise – but only 12% of small retail businesses have an e-commerce platform. This puts them at a marked disadvantage against larger retailers, deepening their crisis. Grozeo gives non-tech business owners the tools and support they need to create a website for their business and take their offerings online in as little as three minutes.

The evening saw speeches from Grozeo CMO Elvijs Plugis and its CEO Khaja Husain, emphasising the company’s commitment to democratising retail technology. Elvijs Plugis said, “Grozeo’s inception marks a pivotal moment in retail technology. We aim to level the playing field for businesses across the UK.

“The retail industry and eCommerce are growing, yet 36 small to medium stores close every single day in the UK. The more small businesses close, the more market share large corporate retailers take. Grozeo is on a mission to democratise retail commerce and empower small to medium retailers by making it easier than ever to create a digital storefront and discover new opportunities for growth.”

Small business owners are not blind to the advantages of eCommerce platforms, but for many the prospect of setting one up is daunting. The amount of time and work it takes, as well as the cost of an upfront investment with no guarantees of success, are keeping many from taking the leap.

With its offer of comprehensive solutions, easy set-up with no need for coding and no upfront costs, as well as a vast array of tools to help retailers succeed online, Grozeo is ready to help more and more small-to-medium businesses take that leap – and stick the landing.

Swift progress has already been made, with negotiations underway with several London boroughs to facilitate Grozeo’s technology and lift communities from within.  Giving a further boost to UK trade, investors from South Africa, UAE, South America, and several European countries have also begun to arrive in the UK for talks with Grozeo.
