Key personal training figure throws down gauntlet to UK public

One of the most successful and respected personal trainers in the UK is utilising the power of social media to spread the word about how eating smart and moving more can transform people’s lives.

Scott Spencer, who has more than three decades of experience working in the fitness industry, is hosting a free Facebook group to help people get in shape and feel their best this year. Shift A Size Spring Challenge has already clocked up more than 900 members, and is designed to rebuff the idea of fad diets. Instead it looks at how eating real food and getting the body moving can help people lose weight well. The group promotes safe, healthy eating – without a fad diet in sight.

Speaking about the free group, Scott said, “With the diet and fitness industries worth billions, it can be all too easy to get caught up in the hype of the latest fad diet or fitness regime. But I believe the key to a healthy body and mind is to eat well and move more. With such busy lives it can be all too easy to think you don’t have time to look after your health. But that’s simply not the case. And this group will show that.”

The 21-day journey is designed for all fitness levels, and for people of all ages. Designed to make sure everyone can look good and feel great, Scott will guide members though the three-week challenge, and provide them with the tools needed to success. With a complimentary food guide that highlights ‘good’ foods, ‘limit’ foods, and ‘avoid’ foods, as well as numerous HIIT workouts and challenges which include ‘finishers’ – an exercise that’s performed at the end of a workout to failure – the group is full of useful hints and tips to take away and implement.

As one of the most successful personal trainers in the country, Scott is a recognisable face in the health and fitness industry. Having been featured in the male fitness bible, Men’s Health, and worked as a model for Calvin Klein and Jack Wills, Scott’s experience has led him to be admired from all four corners of the globe. However, it isn’t always easy for the busy trainer. As a full-time dad, he knows exactly how busy life can be. But by putting in a bit of effort, people can really reap the rewards and become healthier and happier – for the rest of their lives.

“My ambition is to ensure that, after the three weeks are over, every member will be armed with the tools needed to continue on their health and fitness journey – no matter what life throws at them,” added Scott.
