Logistics Leader Caribou Announces Appointment of new Commercial Director

Hot on the heels of the launch of a new Asian Pallet & Parcel network, the Manchester-headquartered logistics and multi-modal provider Caribou has announced the appointment of a new commercial director.

Gary Howden joins with a mission to drive forward Caribou’s e-commerce operations in the UK. His appointment comes as the domestic and international parcel leader enters a period of exciting growth with new depots coming online both at home and overseas.

Commenting on his new role, Howden said, “I am thrilled to be joining Caribou and I look forward to helping to drive the company forward to be the best it can be within the logistics sector. I want Caribou to lead the growth in home delivery and ecommerce as a trusted partner for suppliers of all sizes.

“My attention within the first few months will be around how we can improve both operationally and commercially looking at strategic partnerships and ensuring we have the right suppliers who can work with us and help us to become a leader in the logistics sector.”

Caribou Managing Director Daryl Dylan said: “To bring in somebody of Gary’s calibre shows how far we have come, his wealth of experience within the industry will be of great benefit to our company and as Managing Director I am proud to have him in within our team.”

Howden is a former commercial director of DPD local and has worked as a board level consultant, helping multiple businesses to streamline their operations and introduce efficiencies.

Founded in 2018, Caribou has depots located across the U.K. It has seen strong growth despite tough marketing conditions.
