London Label Announces New AW19 Ethical Blanket Scarf Collection

likemary, one of London’s most unique clothing and accessory brands, has launched its highly anticipated autumn/winter 19 blanket scarf collection, introducing a brand new range of ‘wear forever’ scarves and blanket scarves handwoven on traditional handlooms in 100% merino wool. likemary’s AW19 collection features easy-to-wear neutral tones as well as bolder items with pops of eye catching pinks, blues, and yellows.

The new cold weather collection includes a selection of cosy blanket scarves designed to be worn as oversize scarves, winter wraps, and as statement pieces, as well as classic knits for both men and women. The range follows likemary’s popular spring/summer collection, which hit the headlines for its uniquely designed wrap skirts, bandeau jumpsuits, and flowy harem trousers.

likemary’s new collection is perhaps the most diverse range in the brand’s 10 year history, with a huge choice of solid colours, vibrant ethnic woven borders, simple stripes, and houndstooth checks. One of the highlights of the new range is the selection of colourful and lively motifs, which include love hearts and animal-lover paw prints which add a splash of personality.

All items in the likemary AW19 collection are made from 100% merino wool, and have been woven on traditional handlooms in limited quantities by a social cooperative in the Himalayas. Never mass produced, each limited edition scarf is unique, for a look that’s unlike anything else in the world.

“With our latest collection, we wanted to really invoke feelings of warmth and comfort while still staying true to our fair trade, natural, and sustainable roots,” says likemary Founder, Nicky Taylor-East. “What we’ve created is a one-of-a-kind range that’s not only beautiful, but which also tells a story and combines inspiration from all around the world into amazing, on-trend designs.”

The blanket scarves are available in a handy travel-sized 75 x 200cm version, or a larger 100 x 200cm scarf which is large enough to wear as a blanket wrap throughout the colder months of the year as they approach.

The AW19 collection is already proving popular with fashion fans, especially as Christmas shopping gets into full swing.
