National Tea Day’s Seventh Anniversary Celebration Gives Fans the Chance to Win Big

The nation’s tea drinkers will soon have reason to celebrate as National Tea Day marks its seventh birthday later this month with a series of incredible, once-in-a-lifetime prizes up for grabs. Taking place over seven weeks, National Tea Day will mark its own birthday and the official birthday of HRH Queen Elizabeth on 21 April with a nationwide Seven Wonders of Tea extravaganza.

As part of its homage to the quintessential cuppa, National Tea Day has collated seven incredible prizes including a seven-day all-inclusive trip to Sri Lanka – home to the world’s finest tea – to explore a traditional tea garden and take part in a tea master class. Other prizes include luxury Jubilee-inspired tea experiences at venues around the UK and tickets for the winner and two friends to visit The Tea Group’s very own tea garden in Jersey.

National Tea Day, which was started by leading tea specialists, The Tea Group, has been running since 2015 and has a mission to reignite Britain’s passion for tea. It’s now the UK’s largest tea lover’s community and embraces the joys of this very British pastime while uniting tea-drinkers and celebrity fans around the world.

Diaz Ayub, Founder of National Tea Day, says “Our mission is to ignite people’s passion for tea, and we do this through promoting how teatime can make you happy, enable a healthier lifestyle and indeed take you on a voyage of adventure and discovery. We can’t wait to see everyone getting involved in this year’s celebrations. Our seven day Wonders of Tea extravaganza is our biggest celebration yet with seven incredible prizes.”

The aim of the big day is simple, to bring more attention to tea in all of its forms. From artisan teas to cold brews and herbal infusions, National Tea Day is proving that there’s so much more to the nation’s favourite drink than the ‘builder’s cuppa’.

Each year, hundreds of brands and individuals get involved with National Tea Day, helping to top trending hashtag status on Twitter every year. From Facebook and Pringles to the BBC and Elvis Presley, plenty of people look forward to getting involved with National Tea Day every year – and this year’s celebration is set to be the biggest yet.

National Tea Day is calling on tea-drinkers around the country to mark their calendars and stock up on their favourite tea in time for the big day. For those who are feeling lucky, entrants for the impressive prizes can be made on the National Tea Day website.
