National Television Award is the icing on the cake

Young actress Charlotte Beaumont was delighted to have been part at the 2018 NTA’S when Broadchurch picked up the award for ‘Best Crime Drama’.

Charlotte has been part of all 3 series playing Chloe Latimer and the award was the perfect end to a journey that started over 4 years ago.

Though only 22 years old, Charlotte has enjoyed success on stage, Television and Film, starting her professional career at the age of 12 at the Bush Theatre, in the play 2,000 Feet Away with Joseph Fiennes. However her first stage appearance was at the age of 6 in a Blag youth production of ‘Oliver with a Twist’, a production her parents both wrote and produced.

Charlotte has been fortunate that her parents have been able to support her with their extensive knowledge of the theatre. Not only do they run their own Theatre Company and Youth Theatre but they are also responsible for Dramaclasses.biz an online Directory and Resource for parents, children and young actors interested in the performing arts.

Beaumont, like so many other young actresses did not follow the traditional route into the industry and decided not to apply for drama school. Instead she continued her training on the job, whilst taking individual classes, as and when she was available.

Resources like Dramaclasses.biz enable young people to get affordable training in local schools. With so many part time drama schools it is no wonder we have so many aspiring actors.
