New Book Promotes Importance of Unlocking Personal Potential During Challenging Times

Award-winning activist and motivational speaker Shulamite Ezechi is bringing her insight and expertise into the homes of avid readers across the world with her new self help guide. ‘Unveiling Your True Potential’ is an examination of the power of self discovery, offering practical advice that empowers all readers to discover more about themselves and act upon the desire to be more, to do more, and achieve more during times of uncertainty and worry.

Shulamite has won many awards including ‘the Inspiration to the BME Community award’, conferred to her at the Glasgow City Chambers and is an ambassador for Migrant Voice UK. Shulamite is already known for her efforts inspiring social and personal change. Now, with her latest offering, Shulamite is inviting readers to share in her own story, using her personal experiences of challenging and unsettling times to promote the importance of self discovery, reinvention, and breaking down fear barriers.

‘Unveiling Your True Potential’ provides a simple, 5-step plan for self improvement, focusing on identifying a new path, examining the challenges that lie ahead, understanding the landscape of change, building self confidence, and embarking on a journey of self discovery. The book has already received a number of prestigious endorsements from the likes of Learning Surface Founder Rhymes Raheem Gbajiamilah, researcher Dr. Uchenna Ilo, and Pastor B N Adenyyi of the Grace of God Mission.

“Unveiling Your True Potential is rooted in the fact that life isn’t consistent, or flat, or stable, it’s filled with highs and lows, and that’s something that i think every single one of us has come to realise this year,” says Shulamite Ezechi, author and Founder of ANYiSO, a Glasgow-based non-profit organisation for women and young people. “As part of my work with women through ANYiSO, i’ve seen firsthand how women especially have been impacted by the pandemic, for example more women have been furloughed than men, and it’s really made me realise that there’s never been a more important time to ensure we all have the support resources they need to navigate uncertainty.

“I hope to help anyone struggling through life’s lows to realise that the bad times don’t define them; bad times are drivers of change, they empower us all to become the people we really want to be.”

Shulamite’s new book has been released at a time when many people all across the world are feeling unsure about themselves, and about their futures.

69% of UK adults feel that their mental health has been negatively affected by the global health crisis, and the majority are worried about their future, according to research by The Health Foundation. Additionally, the Office for National Statistics reports that 1 in 5 UK adults have experienced feelings of depression during the pandemic. ‘Unveiling Your True Potential’ is the ultimate proof that life’s lows do not have to mean the end of the road, with Shulamite’s own personal tale acting as solid proof that it is possible to emerge from life’s lowest points stronger and more resilient than ever.

‘Unveiling Your True Potential’ is available now in paperback and for Kindle.
