New racing reality show needs backers to become a reality

Diving into the heady world of illegal street car racing, new reality series Street 2 Track has turned to crowdfunding to make TV history. The high octane, pedal-to-metal concept is set to be the first show of its kind in the world and has turned to the Kickstarter community to fund the launch of this entirely new genre.

The brainchild of a top production house, Street 2 Track has a compelling format which promises to take each episode from coast to coast in a cavalcade of nail-biting speed. Throughout the series, the show presenters will travel the length and breadth of the US finding the best four street racers in each city. The show will follow them as they tune up their motors before gunning it in a race on the track to show who the best racer in the city really is. But there’s a twist; after the exhilarating finish, the winner will race the sworn enemy of any illegal street racer: a police officer.

Show co-creator Edgar Alcala said, “Street racers have turned what they do into an art, with finely turned vehicles that are 100% focused on a need for speed. The show is a great opportunity to showcase this underground talent and delve deep into the world of illegal street racing across the United States.”

Street 2 Track will also gain exclusive access into the world of the police officers who follow the racers with one goal: to block the illegal races before they happen. This world is a murky and dangerous one, but in the battle between racers and police only one can come out on top.

Funds raised from the Kickstarter campaign will pay for special cameras, talent, labor, music rights, editing, post-production and more. When the Kickstarter project reaches its funding goal, Street 2 Track will become an unmissable engaging digital TV series showing the very best of the best in the street racing world.
