Paint Nails London’s Angel Wins Professional Beauty 2021 Awards

Angel came first for the gel polish category and took second place for nail professional of the year

Paint Nails London is renowned as the go-to spot in Oxford Circus for nails and cocktails. And now, our nail bar is also home to an award-winning nail technician.

Our resident Creative Director, Angel, picked up not one, but two gongs at the Professional Beauty Awards 2021. The event held at London’s ExCel saw our Angel come first place in the gel polish category, having scored 183 points out of possible 220, and second place for nail professional of the year.

Each category is judged by a combination of three judges and Angel’s grade was one of the highest scores throughout all the categories in the competition.

Angel had previously applied for the gel category in 2020 while she was manager at Harrods but due lockdown, the event was cancelled. As a result, Professional Beauty contacted her about entering again.

“They called me to see if I would like to take my chances this year as 2020 didn’t go ahead,” said Angel.

“And even though I’m no longer working at Harrods, I thought I’d go for it just for the experience. I didn’t actually expect to win!”

This is the first year that the FNP (Federation of Nail Professionals) collaborated with Professional Beauty to do the competition.

Walking away with first place for the UK’s best ‘Gel Polish Technician’ and second place for ‘Nail Professional of the Year’ 2021, huge congratulations to Angel are in order.
