The People’s Coach Michael Cloonan Extends Free Coaching Invitation to NHS Workers Struggling with to Cope with Anxiety and Stress

One of the UK’s leading Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioners and success coaches is donating his time and expertise free to NHS staff on the front lines fighting against coronavirus.

Michael Cloonan is offering telephone sessions to all NHS workers including nurses, doctors and paramedics struggling with anxiety, stress, depression and the pressures of being away from their families and loved ones. The sessions are entirely free of charge and intended to give those facing the brunt of the pandemic professional support and tools to cope during the unprecedented crisis facing the nation.

He said, “Our NHS workers really are national heroes. So much is expected of them at this time – they may be in situations where they themselves aren’t feeling well or their own health is being put at risk, may have had to choose not to see their children in order to continue doing their job or perhaps have colleagues who have fallen in. The sheer magnitude of what they are facing each day is overwhelming and just because they are trained for the job, doesn’t mean they aren’t struggling as many others are.

“Any NHS workers, who understandably, may be feeling like the weight of the world is on their shoulders, finding the additional responsibility harder to deal with or simply feeling stressed, worried and anxious, can access free coaching sessions with me to help them cope. At times like this, we all have ways we can help and for me, that means offering coaching sessions and NLP training to support our healthcare professionals during this difficult time.”

South London-based Cloonan is a well-known success coach and NLP trainer whose unique blend of expertise allows him to provide explorative coaching combined with advice led mentoring. A specialist in helping his clients build confidence, he has pledged to help NHS workers struggling to get through the day develop a different mindset.

A number of NHS staff have already reached out for coaching; Shannon Gibson who works on high dependency wards at Guys and St Thomas hospitals said, “I have been speaking to Michael since he offered his services to us and it’s really changed the way I feel about my work and within myself. He has really helped with how I deal with the emotional stress attached to these times and I have recommended him to others in my work too who have all said he is amazing and really helped them.”
