Retailer Launches UK’s First Ever Sex Doll Rental Service

A London retailer is offering the growing number of Brits curious about using a sex doll a try before you buy option as it launches the UK’s first ever sex doll rental service.

Silicone Sex World has reported record interest in its pre-built and custom sex dolls this year, as individuals and couples around the country become more adventurous behind closed doors. Since launching its rental service last month, orders have come in thick and fast and the rental doll has been fully booked for several weeks.

“For many, investing in a doll is a significant purchases (prices start around £1000) – but with a rental option, it’s much more attainable. Six months ago we sold two dolls per week and now we sell five per day,” says Andy Phelps, Product Specialist. “Those who haven’t used a sex doll before are naturally curious about the experience and others simply want to try before they make a substantial purchase – a rental option was a logical step and one that our customers have really responded well to. The feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive.”

Silicone Sex World’s rental doll is priced at £100per day, giving customers a more affordable way to broaden their bedroom horizons before committing to a purchase. Currently one rental doll is available, with the model pre-selected from the Silicone Sex World website. The retailer, which also has a store in Hatton Garden, London, has designated one of its most popular dolls for the rental option to gauge demand. A further rental doll may also be offered.

Phelps added, “Given the huge increase in interest for sex dolls and sex robots this year, it’s no real surprise that our rental option has been so well received and we fully expect it to continue to grow.”

Extensive hygiene procedures are in place for the doll, including some removal parts which are disposed of after each use and strict sanitization procedures. The rental doll can be booked in-store and over the phone and as with all Silicone Sex World products, is shipped in discreet packaging.
