Road Trip Guy Set to Undertake Journey of a Lifetime for Charity

Charity is the name of the game for a travel blogger set to take on some of Europe’s biggest road trips.

Niels Thomas, the man behind The Road Trip Guy, will undertake a larger-than-life trip of 25,000km over three months – all in a bid to raise the profile of not one, but 12 worthy charities. Due to travel to 41 European nations and visit each charity in turn, Niels will drive through countries including Germany, Norway, Sweden, Latvia, Poland, the UK, Spain, and Greece, before making his way back to his starting point – Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Niels Thomas, Founder of Road Trip Guy, said, “Form a very young age I’ve had a love for adventure. Having undertaken amazing road trips through Asia, Turkey, North-Africa, UAE, and the Ukraine, I wasn’t expecting that Europe’s biggest road trip soon would be knocking at my front door. But I’m so glad it has. I can’t wait for this adventure to begin – and raise some money for the amazing causes I’m planning to work with!”

The epic trip will begin on the 15th of May, with the ambitious individual set to undertake the trip in his lime green Volkswagen Beetle.

In these very different countries, Niels will not only support the charities by giving his time, but also by raising money along the way. Set to choose one charity to support with funds which will help drive forward their work, he will spend time with each one, learning about their great supportive activities and get up close and personal with those involved.

With the entire project being conducted for charity (and of course a bit of fun), Niels is looking for sponsorship from caring businesses to ensure he can raise as much money as possible. With a target of €20,000, the motivated driver is offering sponsorship packages. The packages range from €50 for a Bronze Sponsorship, to the Platinum Sponsorship, which will add €1,000 to the worthy pot.

In between his caring duties, Niels will update his blog to keep sponsors up to date with his work, as well as share the cultural activities undertaken.

“As well as learning more about these charities and the fantastic work they do, I’m really looking forward to meeting new people, exploring different cultures, tasting the local foods and creating lasting bonds and memories by sharing stories,” added Niels.
