Skanwear Kicking Off Webinar Series with Informative, Interactive Arc Flash Seminar
Personal protective equipment (PPE) experts Skanwear are on a mission to inform businesses about the risks of arc flash and how to minimise them. There are at least two arc flash incidents occurring every day, with an average of two of these proving fatal, according to OSHA. As a result, Skanwear has made its first seminar in its upcoming webinar series dedicated to the subject.
Headed by Skanwear’s Technical Director Anthony Long, the webinar will explore what arc flash is, when protection is needed, and which PPE can be used to cut the risk of arc flash injuries. The in-depth, informative seminar is perfect for business owners, health and safety professionals, and managers that work within firms where employees may be exposed to arc flash risks.
The live nature of the webinar means the Skanwear experts will be taking questions too, ideal for businesses that want specific information and to discover how they can mitigate arc flash risks within their working environment. There are just 100 places available for the initial webinar, which will take place on Tuesday 10th July 2018 at 2pm GMT.
Long said, “Arc flash can cause significant injuries and even death but there are ways to substantially reduce the risk by having effective PPE on hand for all employees and working practices that consider the risk. The statistics show that too many electrical workers are still being affected by arc flash despite proven PPE being available. Our webinar aims to inform, educate, and steer viewers in the direction when it comes to arc flash.”
