Sofa Club Partners with Logistics Specialist; Brings Enhanced Delivery to Customers

Sofa Club has confirmed a three year deal with one of the UK’s leading logistics firms. It has appointed Wincanton as its supply chain and eFulfilment partner.

The agreement will see Wincanton become the sole provider of all logistics services for Sofa Club, including transportation of goods, storage and customer delivery.  Customers in turn will gain access to Wincanton’s bespoke online booking system, with a confirmed 2-hour delivery slot and order tracking.

Louis Rose, Founder of Sofa Club said, “Over the past 8 years we have used a mixture of our own fleet of vans and crews and a variety of third party couriers for home deliveries from a number of different warehouses. The customer journey and customer experience are of paramount importance to us and this led us to Wincanton who we feel shares our vision.  Our agreement will allow us to centralise our operations and elevate the customer journey, with an improved purchasing experience, faster white glove delivery and continual order updates.”

Wincanton is the largest third-party logistics (3PL) company in Britain. Its Home Delivery Network fleet is equipped with a range of advanced technologies to boost safety and security as well as optimise the use of fuel for a more responsible and sustainable service. The new partnership means Sofa Club customers will benefit from quicker delivery nationwide.

Sofa Club is proud to be supporting the British Heart Foundation in its fight against coronary heart disease through its partnership with Wincanton. Its customers can choose to have their old sofas removed by Wincanton, and donated to the British Heart Foundation to raise money for vital medical research.
