Strictly Come Dancing Stars Confirm New Joint Project as Series Gets Underway

The stars of Strictly Come Dancing have confirmed they will be reuniting in the spring for a series of special weekends. The dance pros from this year’s competition will feature in the highly anticipated 2020 weekend breaks with the stars of Strictly, organised by the UK’s top dance school, Donahey’s.

The popular weekends will return with luxurious 4* and 5* getaways and a chance to mingle with the show’s stars. The events, which have sold out every year since they began in 2004, are the highlight of the entertainment calendar for every Strictly fan.

A whole host of Strictly’s best loved performers will be on hand for the exclusive, star-studded weekends across the country. It’s a chance for the show’s biggest fans to try out some new moves, or simply mingle with some of the world’s most talented dancers. Each weekend will also feature a range of showcase performances, Q&A sessions and plenty of photo ops.

Anton Du Beke says, “It’s the best weekend you’ll have, ever. You get all of the stars come along and the organisation is amazing.”

Erin Boag adds, “Everything is amazing. The accommodation and the organisation. You get workshops every single day – everything you could think of. Everything you see on Strictly, you’ll probably learn here.”

“One of the things we love most about these weekends is that we see everyone from experienced dancers to beginners,” says event organiser, Paul Donahey, Director of Donahey’s. “No matter their skill level, they leave at the end of the weekend with a newfound confidence and plenty of fantastic memories of dancing with the Strictly stars.”

One of the pros on hand at last year’s events Aljaz Skorjanec said, “What an amazing weekend! Thank you so much for inviting us, we are so happy to be part of your beautiful event. A clear 10 from me!”

The stars joining Donahey’s for the 2020 weekend breaks include Neil and Katya Jones, Gorka Marquez and Karen Hauer, Pasha Kovalev, Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag, Amy Dowden and Ben Jones, British National and World Ballroom Champions Warren and Kristi Boyce, plus Argentine Tango stars Leandro Palou and Maria Tsiatsiani.

All weekends culminate with a spectacular Sunday afternoon grand-finale dance showcase, but that’s only after guests have enjoyed a Saturday night Black Tie Ball featuring live music from a fabulous 15-piece Ballroom and Latin Big Band, and exclusive red carpet photo calls with the dancers.

This year, due to popular demand, Donahey’s have announced an additional event, bringing the total number to 4 weekends through March and April. The first weekend takes place at the famous Alton Towers Resort, followed by two weekends at Berkshire’s beautiful De Vere Beaumont Estate Hotel. The final weekend is set to take place at the 5* Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, South Wales towards the end of April 2020.

Early bird booking prices are available for reservations made before 31st October, and can be secured from as little as £205 per person.
