Touching and Acclaimed Taiwan Film Exploring Diabetes Set to Make Its Debut in US

A heartfelt and deeply touching film that’s proven a success in Taiwan is set to make its debut in the US with the aim of inspiring diabetic patients around the world. Caramel Girl depicts the story of a young girl struggling to live with diabetes, overcoming challenges through her courage and strength. Having already received overwhelming approval and acclaim in Taiwan, the director is predicting a hit when the micro-film is broadcast across the states.

As a condition that affects over 29 million people in the US, including around three million suffering from type 1 diabetes, Caramel Girl will be a story that hits close to home for many. Inspiring both patients and caregivers, as well as viewers that have no connection to the condition, Caramel Girl promises to be an emotional and poignant experience. Detailing the story of a young girl called Fang Si Yun, viewers will be taken on a heart-warming journey as she copes with her lifelong condition.

Following its success in Taiwan, the micro-film received approval from Comcast Network and is set to be released by early fall this year. Caramel Girl is currently undergoing the translation process, making it accessible to a whole new audience of English speakers that will fall love with the courageous, heart-rendering story. Airing through Time Warner Cable in ten major US cities, including Manhattan NY, Los Angeles CA and Chicago IL, further details of when Caramel Girl will be available to watch will be released in the coming months.
