TV Chef Damian Wawrzyniak House of Feasts to Host Chef’s Table at House of Feasts

TV chef and Polish food ambassador, Damian Wawrzyniak will host an exclusive chef’s table event at Peterborough restaurant House of Feasts next month to celebrate the best of local ingredients and Polish food culture.

Chef Wawrzyniak, who last month served up his signature Polish Feast to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during the Royal couple’s first official joint visit to Poland and Germany, is a Polish food pioneer.

On a mission to breakdown the last food frontier and reinvent Polish classics with a modern twist, Chef Wawrzyniak’s fusion of Polish and British cuisine, and his passion for locally sourced seasonal ingredients, will be on full display during the September chef’s table at House of Feasts.

A minimum of eight contemporary, imaginative courses will be created using the freshest ingredients sourced from Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Fenland – including fruit, vegetables and succulent rare breed pork.

Chef Wawrzyniak said, “I can’t wait to hold my first chef’s table event at House of Feasts. I’ll be creating eight courses from locally sourced produce to highlight some of the finest British ingredients with Polish modernised cuisine. Dishes will be a fusion of traditional Polish recipes, such as pierogi, but updated with contemporary flavour combinations and hyper-regional ingredients. To me, this is what food is all about and I’m really excited to showcase this very special selection of dishes.”

Before last month’s Royal Invitation, Chef Wawrzyniak cooked a traditional Polish Babka for Queen of Cakes, Mary Berry’s Easter Feast. He also served up his Polish Feast in Jamie Oliver’s FIFTEEN kitchen in London and has spent the last eight months touring the UK serving up his Polish Feast Food Tour to diners across the country.

Located in the heart of the Peterborough countryside, House of Feasts is a restaurant and bar where guests can dine sumptuously on an ever-changing menu of Polish and British dishes. The restaurant has a large garden, where a whole pig is spit roasted every Sunday.
