UK-Produced Horror-Drama RedCon-1 is Coming to Cinemas from 28th of September

The UK produced horror drama, RedCon-1, from executive producer Carlos Gallardo (Desperado, El Mariachi, Once Upon a Time in Mexico), producer Frank Miller (Sin City; A dame to kill for and co-creater of Teenage mutant Ninja Turtles) and directed by Chee Keong Cheung (Underground, Bodyguard: A New Beginning) will premier in UK cinemas later this month.

Starring Oris Erhuero (Adventures of Sinbad, Sometimes in April, Road to Yesterday and the award-winning The Cursed Ones) RedCon-1 features a thrilling mix of horror, drama and action, and the UK-produced feature film is already garnering heavy praise as a hybrid of ‘The Raid’ and ’28 Days Later’.

Premiering at the Raindance Film Festival 2018, RedCon-1 makes full use of leading man Oris Erhuero’s prior experience working with martial arts legends Hark Tsui (Once Upon a Time in China) and Woo-Ping Yuen (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Kill Bill Vol. 2) to create a unique blend of stylish action and disturbing horror. The award-winning actor is no stranger to action, building a deep resume working with some of the biggest names in the Eastern and Western movie industries. Working alongside Idris Elba, Guy Richie, Dennis Hopper and Benjamin Bratt in the past, Oris Erhuero brings a contained intensity to the role of Capt. Marcus Stanton, a man who must save a scientist who could hold the key to man’s salvation.

Appearing at Glasgow Comicon on September 22nd, Oris Erhuero will be fielding questions from fans interested in the upcoming RedCon-1 release and discussing his storied history in the film industry. From his work alongside Bafta Winner and Oscar nominee Raul Peck to starring alongside martial arts legend Donnie Yen, Oris will be fielding fan questions and digging deep into his insider insight.

Oris Erhuero, lead actor in RedCon-1, said, “I couldn’t be happier with the way RedCon-1 has turned out. It feels like the perfect mix of horror, drama and action and, to be honest, it’s been a great film for exploring the different facets of acting I love to get into. The film has everything audiences want to see and, speaking as an actor, it was just a great experience overall. I really felt like I got a chance to stretch my acting muscles in many different ways.

“There’s a lot of talent on RedCon-1 – both on-screen and behind the camera – and the production process was one of the most fulfilling I’ve ever been a part of. And, of course, it’s always a great honour for any film to be selected for the Raindance Festival. Now I’m just excited to see how the audience react to what we’ve created, because RedCon-1 feels very fresh and unique. It was an amazing experience making the movie and I think that really comes across on-screen.”
